The Acting Flag Officer Fleet (A/FOF), Naval Captain John Bekuin-Wurapa, engaged Midshipmen of Regular Career Course (RCC) Intake 65 after a successful completion of their Second Sea Training Phase, offering professional guidance on the responsibilities and expectations of a naval officer.
The interaction provided the Midshipmen the opportunity to reflect on their sea training experience and also receive valuable professional guidance on the responsibilities and expectations of a naval officer. The A/FOF emphasised the importance of discipline, leadership, sound judgement and the effective application of naval knowledge in the execution of duties at sea and ashore.
The engagement also served as a timely reminder for the Midshipmen to consolidate their training, remain focused and prepare diligently for the next stage of their professional development, ahead of their Fleet Board assessment.
In his closing remarks, the Chief Instructor of the Naval Faculty, Naval Captain Victor Oppong Fianko, expressed appreciation to the A/FOF and the Fleet at large, on behalf of the Commandant of the Ghana Military Academy, for making time to interact with the Midshipmen and for their continued mentorship and support towards the development of future Ghana Navy officers.
