The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Eastern Naval Command (ENC), Commodore Maxwell Arhen, led a delegation of senior officers and key personnel on a routine visit to the residences of sick personnel at the Biekro and Paradise Barracks on Thursday, 12 September 2024 at Tema Newtown.
This visit was part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to demonstrate support, solidarity, and care for personnel undergoing medical treatment, with the purpose of uplifting morale and providing encouragement.
Commodore Maxwell Arhen emphasized that the visit was an opportunity to assess the health and recovery progress of personnel receiving medical care and to reassure them of the Command’s steadfast support. He also reiterated the Navy's dedication to ensuring that all personnel, regardless of their health challenges, receive comprehensive medical care and support.
During the visit, Cdre Arhen personally engaged with each of the sick personnel, offering words of encouragement and emphasizing the importance of fully embracing their treatment plans. He urged the sick personnel to maintain hope and approach their recovery earnestly, recognizing the significance of their recuperation to the Command's operations. Additionally, the FOC made undisclosed cash donations to each sick person.
He was accompanied by Cdr Salifu Musah, Command Technical Officer, Lt Cdr Ruth Kyei Amponsah, Command Supply Officer, Lt Cdr Theophilus Stanley Brocke, OIC Ghana Navy Band.
