The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Naval Logistics Command (NAVLOC), Commodore (Cdre) Eric Osei, held a durbar with troops of the Command at the Naval Shipyard, Sekondi Naval Base.The durbar formed part of the FOC’s engagement with personnel to interact with them, address issues affecting their work and welfare, and reinforce the importance of professionalism, discipline and teamwork in the discharge of their duties.
Addressing the gathering, Cdre Osei commended personnel for their commitment and dedication to duty, particularly in supporting the Ghana Navy’s operational readiness. He urged them to maintain the highest standards of discipline, efficiency and professionalism in the performance of their respective responsibilities.
The FOC emphasised the importance of teamwork and effective communication among personnel,and noted that the success of NAVLOC depended on the collective efforts of its Officers, Ratings and Defence Civilian Staff.He encouraged personnel to remain committed to continuous improvement and to take ownership of their duties, stressing that every individual had an important role to play in ensuring the effectiveness of the Command. He also advised the personnel not engage in acts that will put the name of the Ghana Navy and the Ghana Armed Forces into disrepute.
The durbar provided an opportunity for personnel to engage directly with the FOC and served as a platform for strengthening mutual understanding, cohesion and esprit-de-corps within the Command.
Cdre Superintendent Naval Shipyard, Cdre Roger Bagoniah, Senior Officers, Officers, Ratings and Defence Civilian Staff were present.
