A delegation made up of Service Sergeant Majors of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), led by the Forces Sergeant-Major (FSM), Chief Master Warrant Officer (CMWO) Addo Daniel, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing on Thursday 24 April 2025, to congratulate him and pledge their loyalty.
The CNS, appreciative of their visit, emphasised the need for maintenance of discipline and capacity-building in their various units. “Loyalty in the Armed Forces is a two-way affair, requiring mutual commitment and trust between leaders and subordinates”, he stated.
Rear Admiral Bessing and the Service Sergeant-Majors discussed also some shortfalls,including personnel welfare and operational efficiency where he assured that the Military High Command would prioritize and work towards them in order to enhance the Ghana Armed Forces.
The Service-Sergeant Majors expressed their commitment to supporting the CNS in his new role, assuring their unwavering dedication to duty.
The team congratulated the CNS on his appointment and wished him well in his new role.
The delegation included the Army Sergeant-Major, Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Ansah Yeboah Isaac, Master Coswain of the Navy, Master Fleet Chief Petty Officer Kpormego Joseph Kwashie and the Air Force Sergeant-Major, MWO Bawa Abdulai.
