A delegation from the Ghana Navy successfully conducted a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for a state-of-the-art Navigation Simulator in Croatia from 8 -11 October 2024. The manufacturers, MEP and Wartsila Voyage Services took the Ghana Navy delegation through the manufacturing processes and how the simulator operates.
This state-of-the-art simulator is being acquired for the Ghana Navy by the Danish government to assist in the training of personnel of the Ghana Navy.
The event showcased the simulator’s advanced capabilities, with MEP guiding the Ghana Navy delegation through its equipment and functionalities. Esteemed guests from Finland, Denmark, the USA, the UK, Turkeye, China, and the Netherlands joined the occasion, underscoring the significance of the innovation.
This Navigation Simulator represents the forefront of maritime simulation technology, aiming to provide a highly realistic and advanced training experience for seafarers globally.
Members of the Ghana Navy delegation included Capt (GN) Ramzey Bamba, Capt (GN) Ebenezer Kwame Yirenkyi, Cdr Josepth Kwaku Tchum, Cdr Jim Adjei Braimah, Lt Cdr Emilio Okyere-Dadzie and Lt Cdr Prince Sebastian Okyere.
