Goldfields Ghana Limited donated assorted food items to the Western Naval Command (WNC) on Thursday, 18 December 2025, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The gesture was aimed at supporting activities marking the Command’s end-of-year West Africa Soldiers Social Activity.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Command, the Flag Officer Commanding, WNC, Commodore Samuel Ayelazono, expressed sincere appreciation to Goldfields Ghana Limited. He noted that the timely support would enhance the WASSA activities and further strengthen the cordial relationship between both institutions.
Presenting the items, Mrs Regina Mental of the Goldfields Security Department stated that the donation followed a request received from the Command. She explained that, as a key stakeholder, the company considered it important to support the Western Naval Command.
She added that the gesture would contribute significantly to sustaining the strong partnership between Goldfields Ghana Limited and the Command. Also present were the Flag Officer Commanding, Naval Logistics Command, Commodore Eric Osei, and the Flag Officer Fleet, Naval Captain John Bekuin-Wurapa.
