As part of their one-week study tour in Ghana, a 40-member delegation made up of faculty members and participants of the Nigerian Naval War College led by the Commandant, Rear Admiral SA Akinwande paid a courtesy on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu on Monday, 18 July 2022 at the Naval Headquarters in Accra.
The tour which was aimed at equipping the faculty members and participants with the Socio-political, Economic and Military Institutions of Ghana was under the theme: “Countering Maritime Threats Through Cooperative Maritime Security in the Gulf of Guinea.”
The CNS welcomed the delegation and the participants to the Naval Headquarters and wished them well in their stay in the country. The Commandant on the other hand, thanked the CNS for the warm reception and hoped for continuous collaboration between Ghana and Nigeria.
At a presentation, the Director Naval Operations, Naval Captain Samuel Ayelazono briefed the delegation on some of the security threats in Ghana’s maritime domain and efforts being made to deal with them.
