The TRIO Bridge Foundation, on Friday 11 October 2024, donated two Ultrasound Scan Machines and Emergency Evacuation Kits to the Ghana Navy.
Presenting the equipment at the Naval Headquarters, the Chief Executive Officer of the UK-based charitable organisation, Mr George Noi-Lartey noted that the initiative forms part of the foundation’s corporate-social responsibilities and aims to enhance the Navy’s medical capabilities and personnel health.
Founded by professionals trained and with experience in both Ghana And the UK, the team comprises specialists across healthcare and technology fields, including Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Neonatologists, Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine Consultants, Midwives and other professionals. Their aim is to drive sustainable improvements in healthcare outcomes with focus on improving maternal and neonatal health in developing countries.
Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu who received the equipment on behalf of the Ghana Navy expressed his gratitude for the generous contribution highlighting its significance for the Navy’s operational readiness and personnel welfare.
Deputy Chief of Staff (Medical), Major General (Maj Gen) Raymond Ewusi, Chief Staff Officer (CSO) at the Naval Headquarters, Commodore Bright Atiayao and some other senior officers were present at the donation.
