The out-going Managing Director (MD) of Tullow Oil Ghana, Mr Wissam Al-Monthiry, has paid a visit to the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, at the Naval Headquarters, Burma Camp on Monday 1 July 2024.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the in-coming MD, Mr Jean-Medard Madama. They also discussed the existing cordial relations between the Ghana Navy and Tullow Oil.
Mr Al-Monthiry expressed his gratitude for the cooperation between the Ghana Navy and Tullow Oil which has helped maintain a safe and secure maritime domain including offshore oil and gas installations. He applauded the Navy for the decline in piracy attacks in the sub region.
Rear Admiral Yakubu acknowledged the long-standing relationship between the Navy and Tullow Oil and emphasised the vital role the Ghana Navy plays in ensuring the security operations of the Oil and gas industry.
The CNS wished the outgoing MD well in his future endeavours and presented a souvenir to him.
