The Chairman of the Penguin Shipyard Limited, Mr Jeffrey Hing, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu at the Naval Headquarters on Tuesday 20 August 2024.
The meeting was aimed at exploring further collaborative opportunities between the Ghana Navy and Singapore-based shipbuilding and repair firm which was supporting the Navy’s fleet modernisation and infrastructure initiatives.
Rear Admiral Yakubu expressed his appreciation for the visit and anticipated mutual cooperation benefits between the two institutions.
Mr Hing also conveyed his gratitude to the CNS and looked forward to strengthening the partnership.
To commemorate the visit, the CNS presented a gift to Mr Hing.
Present at the meeting were Chief Staff Officer (CSO) Commodore Bright Kodjo Atiayao, Director Supply Division, Captain (GN)Ramsey Bamba, Director Naval Operations, Captain (GN),Yirenkyi and some other senior officers at the Headquarters .
