Director Navy Religious Affairs, Commander David Benedict Quayson, has successfully launched four books on Wednesday 1 November 2023 at the Burma Hall.
The books are The Ghana Armed Forces Spousal Handbook, Marriage In God’s Way, Institutional Chaplaincy In Africa and Skills Training Handbook.
In a speech read on behalf of the Chief of the Defence Staff, (CDS) Vice Admiral Seth Amoama who was the Guest of Honour, the Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, said that the launching of the books was timely as they touch on pertinent contemporary issues relating to the Armed Forces and the lives of personnel in the service. He added that the book, Institutional Chaplaincy in Africa deeply discusses the subject of military chaplaincy from an African perspective and is an addendum to many other kinds of literature on chaplaincy that seeks to give some basic understanding of military chaplaincy.The Chairman for the occasion, Bishop of the Northern Accra Diocese Methodist Church Ghana, Very Reverend Professor Joseph Manasseh Yarquah Edusa-Eyison, the Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, Special Advisor to the President for the Accra Initiative, Ambassador Major General Francis Adu Amanfoh (Retired), the Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Major General Nicholas Peter Andoh were present.Also in attendance were some Retired Generals, Bishops of the Methodist Church Ghana and Senior Officers of the Ghana Armed Forces.
