The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) on Thursday, 9 July 2026, promoted 36 personnel during a formal ceremony at the Command Headquarters. The promotions included 13 Chief Petty Officers Class Two (CPOII) to Chief Petty Officer Class One (CPOI), 13 Petty Officers Class Two (PO2) to Petty Officer Class One (PO1), three Leading Seamen promoted to PO2, and 7 CPOI appointed Fleet Chief Petty Officer Class Two (FCPOII).
Flag Officer Commanding ENC, Commodore Solomon Asiedu‑Larbi, congratulated the promoted personnel and emphasised that the elevations reflected the Service’s confidence in their ability to shoulder greater responsibilities and enhance the Command’s discipline and operational effectiveness. He reminded them that higher rank brings increased accountability and warned that indiscipline would not be tolerated, stressing the need to maintain exemplary conduct.
Commodore Asiedu‑Larbi paid particular tribute to those promoted to Fleet Chief Petty Officer Class Two, urging them to leverage their experience to mentor junior sailors, pass on institutional knowledge, and uphold the highest professional standards across the Command.
The Commodore underlined that leadership is demonstrated by example rather than authority alone and called on all promoted ratings to lead with professionalism, discipline, and integrity. He encouraged them to continue serving the nation with pride and honour as they assume their expanded roles within the Ghana Navy.
