Fleet Chief Petty Officer Class Two (FCPOII) Acquaye Michael assumed the role of Coxswain of Naval Base Tema, taking over from Fleet Chief Petty Officer Class One (FCPO1) Sapaty Johnson Kofi on Friday, 16 August 2024 at the Junior Rates Mess, Eastern Naval Command(ENC).
Recognizing the commendable service of the outgoing Base Coxswain, the Flag Officer Commanding ENC, Commodore Maxwell Arhen lauded FCPO1 for his unwavering dedication, loyalty, and exceptional leadership qualities. Commodore Arhen expressed his gratitude to him for his immense support to all personnel during his tenure and wished him well as he assumed his new appointment as the Command Coxswain at the Riverine Command.
On his part, the newly appointed Base Coxswain expressed appreciation for the groundwork laid by his predecessor and pledged to exert his best efforts to advance the growth of the Tema Base and enhance the Command’s achievements.
As a token of appreciation, FCPO1 Sapaty Johnson Kofi was presented with a citation, an undisclosed monetary gratuity, and a 50-inch television set.
Present at the occasion was Master Coxswain of the Ghana Navy, FCPO1 Kpormego Joseph Kwashie.
