GHANA NAVY RECEIVES 20-FEET MULTIPURPOSE CATAMARAN BOAT

Ghana Navy has taken delivery of a 20-feet multipurpose Catamaran boat from McHammah Company Limited, a local Engineering Company to aid in search and rescue missions and also enhance operational capabilities within the Navy.


The ceremony took place at the Naval Headquarters, Burma Camp, yesterday, 15 November 2023.

The Chief of the Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama who was the Guest of honour, said the collaboration was a testament to the profound sense of duty and commitment that goes beyond our shores. He stressed the gesture, underscores the unwavering support and commitment of the local business community to the Armed Forces.

He emphasized the donation of the boat, serves as a reminder of the Navy’s role in safeguarding its shores and national interests both internally and externally.

Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Ing Dr Ebenezer Kakra Hammah, said the donation came about as a result of the Navy’s exemplary role in providing humanitarian and relief efforts to victims of the Akosombo and Kpong Dam’s spillage. 

He maintained, the donation forms part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, thus believes further collaborations and formed partnerships would strengthen the ties between the Navy and the business sector.
