The Naval Recruit Training School (NRTS) held a Passing Out Parade for Recruits of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) Course 7 at the Naval Training Command Parade Square, Nutekpor, Sogakope.
The colourful and well-attended ceremony marked the end of a 24-week intensive training programme, symbolizing the recruits’ transformation, discipline, and resilience throughout their journey. It also signified their readiness to support the national mandate of combating illicit drug trafficking and abuse.
The training was tailored to equip the recruits with the physical, mental, tactical, and professional skills necessary to effectively support the Commission’s operations in safeguarding national security and public health.
In his address, the Guest of Honour, the Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Honourable Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak urged the recruits to uphold the core values instilled in them during training and to serve with integrity, dedication, and professionalism.
After six months of rigorous training, Recruit Akisikpak Julia was adjudged the Overall Best Recruit.She also received the Best in Shooting award for her outstanding marksmanship.
