The School of Maritime Operations (SMOPS) of the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) held a closing ceremony to officially conclude the Civilian Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) Training of Trainers (T-O-T) Course on Friday 2 October 2026 at the SMOPS Auditorium, NAVTRAC, Nutekpor.

The ceremony marked the successful completion of the training, which was aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills and instructional capabilities of participants in the conduct of civilian VBSS training.

The Guest of Honour and Commanding Officer of SMOPS, Naval Captain Michael Cudjoe, commended the participants for their commitment and dedication throughout the course. He urged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training in their respective areas of responsibility and to maintain the professional standards expected of personnel involved in maritime security training.
