The Supply Application School (SAS) of the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) and the Ho Technical University (HTU) jointly organised their 4th Graduation and 5th Matriculation at the School of Maritime Operations (SMOPS) Auditorium at NAVTRAC, Nutekpor on Thursday 5 September 2024.
At the ceremony, 53 personnel were admitted into HTU's Diploma in Procurement and Supply and Diploma in Secretaryship and Management programmes. The ceremony also saw 21 personnel graduating with Certificates in Secretaryship and Management Studies.
In his remarks, Cdre Solomon Asiedu-Larbi, Flag Officer Commanding NAVTRAC congratulated the graduands and commended them for their perseverance and commitment to excellence. He further urged the matriculants, who are the first batch to be admitted into the Diploma programmes to emulate the examples of past students who successfully passed through the school.
Cdre Asiedu-Larbi also lauded the management of HTU for partnering the Ghana Navy in her aspiration to enhance the operational efficiency through continuous professional training.
The Pro Vice Chancellor of HTU, Prof Christopher Mensah, in his address assured the new students of the faculty’s support and urged them to be dedicated. He also encouraged the graduands to apply the skills and knowledge in their chosen professions.
Lance Corporal Yeboah Augustus of the Ghana Army was adjudged the overall best-graduating student.
