The Director Supply and Transport (S&T), Colonel (Col) Harry Keelson, has paid a follow-up working visit to the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Nutekpor, on Wednesday 28 October 2026 to inspect and oversee progress on the establishment of a supply depot for the Command.
The visit formed part of efforts to monitor the development of the proposed depot, following an earlier visit during which a suitable site was identified and earmarked for the project.
The initiative forms part of the Chief of the Defence Staff’s directive to enhance logistical efficiency across the Ghana Armed Forces by ensuring that NAVTRAC has direct access to essential supplies, considering its distance from the main supply depot in Ho.
During the visit, Col Keelson called on the Acting Flag Officer Commanding (A/FOC) NAVTRAC, Naval Captain John Bekuin-Wurapa, whom he congratulated on his appointment. He subsequently toured the project site to assess the progress of work and engage with personnel involved in the development.
Naval Captain Bekuin-Wurapa welcomed the Director and expressed appreciation for the continued attention and support towards the project. He noted that the establishment of the depot would significantly improve logistical support, reduce supply delays, and enhance the Command's operational and administrative efficiency.
The visit reaffirmed the commitment of the Supplies and Transport Department to ensuring the timely development of the facility to strengthen logistical support and improve service delivery within NAVTRAC.
