On Tuesday, 19 August 2025, the Naval Shipyard (NAVSHIPYARD) presented refurbished medical equipment, including screens, drip stands, and trolleys, to Essikado Government Hospital in response to an appeal for assistance. 
The Flag Officer Commanding Naval Logistics, Commodore Eric Osei, said the gesture reflected the Navy’s corporate social responsibility to support the community. Madam Doris Teiko Acquaye, Head of Administration of the hospital, expressed her appreciation and pledged to put the equipment into good use to enhance patient care.
