A 3-man delegation from the Turkish Aerospace has called on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu on Tuesday, 7 May 2024, at the Naval Headquarters to explore partnership and collaboration opportunities in defence and aerospace industries.

The delegation, led by the Chief Operations in charge of Corporate Marketing and Communications, Mr Yunus Sen expressed appreciation to the CNS for the warm reception and assured the Ghana Navy of Turkish Aerospace’s commitment to delivering modern and high-quality product and services.

He expressed interest in exploring further collaborations in areas such as training, maintenance and technology transfer. “We are here for partnership”, he said.

Mr Yunus Sen stated that their Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) can cover over 4000 kilometres and can stay in the air for 50 hours. He added that, the UAV is equipped with advance sensors and cameras, enabling real-time monitoring and response to maritime threats.

Rear Admiral Yakubu praised the long-standing relationship between Ghana and Turkey and emphasised the importance of utilizing UAVs in enhancing the Ghana Navy’s capabilities in maritime surveillance. He commended the delegation for the visit and indicated that, the Ghana Navy looks forward to continuing its collaboration and partnership with the company.

The delegation was accompanied by the Turkish Defence Attaché to Ghana, Colonel Ahmet Parkis.
