‎The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, has urged participants of Strategic Leadership Course 2-2026 of the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) to apply the knowledge they acquire to advance national development.

‎Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing made the call on Monday, 9 March 2026, as the Guest of Honour during the opening ceremony of the course at the Defence Mechanical Transport Battalion Auditorium.

‎He indicated that leaders face complex challenges in a multifaceted security and governance environment, adding that the course will equip participants with the tools and insights needed to navigate uncertainty and make sound strategic decisions.

‎The CNS encouraged participants to make a lasting impact through responsible leadership and dedicated service, reminding them that true leaders serve as custodians of national development and guide institutions toward the future.

‎The Commandant of NCDS, Major General Frederick Dankyi Ntiri, said the course aims at strengthening strategic leadership for institutional and international development. He added that the two-week intellectual course brings together forty-five (45) participants from the military, public service, academia, and civil sectors to help in addressing real-world leadership demands.
