A delegation from the Western Naval Command (WNC) Branch of the Naval Wives Association (NAWA) paid a courtesy call on the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), WNC, Commodore Stephen Billins Nyam, at the WNC Headquarters. The visit, led by executives of the Association, was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between NAWA and WNC, as well as exploring areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
Speaking during the visit, the WNC NAWA Coordinator, Mrs Vivian Billins Nyam, who led the delegation, congratulated the new FOC on his appointment and expressed appreciation to the WNC for its continuous support towards initiatives that promoted the welfare and development of Naval families.
The FOC expressed appreciation for the visit and underscored the importance of collaboration and mutual support in promoting the welfare of families.
He assured the delegation of the Command’s readiness to support initiatives that contributed to the well-being of the wives and the association, as they were the pillar behind the family in the absence of their husbands.
The visit ended with discussions on possible areas of future collaboration.
