The Ghana Navy commiserates with Petty Officer Class One (PO1) Anyimadu Paul, who laid to rest his wife and three children on Friday, 17 October 2025, at Sekondi.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 24 August 2025, when a gas explosion at their residence at Katamanso in the Greater Accra region claimed the lives of the four family members, leaving behind immense grief and sorrow. The solemn burial ceremony drew a large turnout from the Ghana Navy, family members, colleagues, and friends, who gathered to pay their final respects. Emotional tributes described the deceased as kind-hearted and beloved within their community.
Officers and ratings stood in solemn silence as the coffins of Mrs Anyimadu and the children were laid to rest, marking a heartbreaking conclusion to a tragedy that deeply shook the naval fraternity. Petty Officer Anyimadu serves with the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) in Nutekpor.
