The Ghana Navy Supply Application School in conjunction with the Ho Technical University has held a matriculation ceremony for 47 personnel drawn from the three arms of service and Defence Civilian Staff at the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Nutepkor in the Volta Region on Wednesday 26 June 2024.

The Certificate course to be undertaken includes Secretaryship and Management Studies and Cook Steward courses.

The 47 course participants include seven personnel from the Ghana Air Force, five from the Ghana Army, 33 from the Ghana Navy and 2 Defence Civilian staff.

This is the 4th batch of personnel to have been Matriculated to study at the HTU since the Ghana Navy signed an MOU with the University in April 2023.

In his remarks, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the Ho Technical University, Prof Christopher Mensah, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration between the University and the Supply Application School.

He urged the Matriculants to abide by the rules and regulations of the University and take their studies seriously.

The Flag Officer Commanding NAVTRAC, Cdre Solomon Asiedu Larbi, stated that it was important for Ratings to enhance their knowledge in the discharge of their duties and also acquire certificates that will be worthy of use when they eventually leave the service.

He mentioned that he was therefore happy with the collaboration between the two Institutions. He congratulated and urged the Matriculants to work harder as they pursue their courses.

Present at the ceremony were faculty and staff members from the Ho Technical University, the Commanding Officer of the Supply Application School, Cdr Fredrick Kutsoati and the Commanding Officer of the Naval Base, Nutepkor
