The Supply Application School (SAS), in collaboration with the Ho Technical University (HTU), has graduated 164 personnel from various academic programmes on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at the School of Maritime Operations (SMOPS) Auditorium, Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Nutekpor.
The ceremony marked the sixth graduation since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ghana Navy and HTU, reaffirming the shared commitment of both institutions to academic advancement and professional development within the Ghana Armed Forces.
In all, 23 personnel graduated with Diploma in Procurement and Supply, 26 with Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply, 30 with Certificate in Procurement and Supply, 25 obtained Diploma in Hospitality Operations, 12 earned Advanced Certificate in Hospitality Operations, 19 received Certificate in Hospitality Operations, and 29 graduated with Diploma in Secretaryship and Management Studies.
Delivering his remarks, the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) NAVTRAC, Commodore James Adongo Agambire, described the partnership between HTU and the Ghana Navy as a model of cooperation that continues to enhance training and professional growth. He congratulated the graduates on their resilience and commitment, urging them to apply the knowledge acquired, pursue continuous learning, and remain adaptable in the discharge of their duties.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor of HTU, Professor Ben Honyenuga, commended the graduating personnel for their perseverance and discipline in successfully balancing rigorous academic work with demanding military responsibilities. He further encouraged them to remain actively engaged with their alma mater, noting that their continued involvement would contribute significantly to its growth and development. He urged them to maintain professional ties with their lecturers and fellow alumni, emphasising that such networks would provide support, enhance career progression, and uphold the legacy of those who had paved the way.
Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, the Valedictorian, Corporal Danna Albert, expressed gratitude to the Ghana Navy, HTU, instructors, and families for their unwavering support throughout the programme. He noted that the journey demanded sacrifice, discipline, and determination, adding that the knowledge acquired would be applied diligently to enhance efficiency and professionalism in their respective units.
