The Naval Wives Association (NAWA) at the Western Naval Command (WNC) hosted its annual children’s party at the Harry Seshie Drill Square in Sekondi Naval Base, under the inspiring theme “ Joy, Friendship, and a Bright Future,” on Friday, 5 December 2025. 
The Guest of Honour for the occasion, Mrs Gifty Bessing, NAWA President and wife of Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, joined NAWA Coordinator, Mrs Selina Ayelazono, wife of Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command, Commodore Samuel Ayelazono, in leading a colourful celebration featuring exciting games, musical chairs, sack races, face painting, bouncing castles, lively performances, generous gifts and presentation of awards.
The event delighted the children and strengthened community bonds in the distinguished presence of the Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command, Commodore Samuel Ayelazono, the Flag Officer Commanding, Naval Logistics Command, Commodore Eric Osei, the Flag Officer Fleet, Naval Captain John Bekuin-Wurapa, Senior Officers, Officers, Command Coxswains, Ratings, Defence Civilian Staff, as well as members of NAWA and parents.
